Dock Construction
At Thaler Contracting we always work based on certain regulations issued by the state, the region, and even the company or client for which we perform the work.
This is done in this way because the docks cannot represent a threat to the water and to the lands to which they will be linked. Safety is also an important issue for docks because it has to be designed for the safety of people inside ships and for workers waiting on land.

What is the best wood for docks?
There is a wide variety of woods and many more that can be used for the construction of the dock. What has to be taken into account when choosing the wood for the dock is the length that is required and how resistant it can be due to the water and other important factors.
Among the dock builders, it is regular to listen that the best wooden boards for the construction of a dock are the western red cedar, the sequoia, the cypress, and the white cedar.
We also take into account the depth of the water, the type of soil on which to build the dock, the type of sea current that occurs in that area, the change in water depth and even the type of dock that you want to create.
